About Jessica

Jessica Janos is the director of The Electra Complex, starring Violet Paley and Kansas Bowling, written with Clarissa Jacobson; Prettyface, a film she wrote, produced by Fred Roos, starring Karsen Liotta, Annalise Basso, and Patrick Schwarzenegger; Seduced, a feature film on LIFETIME starring Elisabeth Rohm; and several music videos including the multi-award-winning Acid Waves for Pale Blue and the recently released Do You Really Want to Hurt Me by Jesika von Rabbit.

She is currently shooting Butter, starring Laura Urgeles and just completed a horror screenplay The Door Under The Staircase with writer Katz Nelson.

Her previous projects include the Mark Twain EPK for Val Kilmer, and From The Lotus for Prince. Janos began as a painter, where she was accepted into CalArts School of Fine Arts at the age of 16. She later went on to earn her BA in Film from the University of New South Wales in Sydney and her MFA in Directing at the AFI Conservatory,.

Jessica is a member of the Film Fatales and a founding member of the AFIC Women Directors Association.
